ANARCHY AT THE OPERA
The Young Artists of the National Opera Studio perform Anarchy at the Opera, devised and directed by Emma Jenkins.
Through some of the most anarchic and off-the-wall pieces in the operatic repertoire from Les Mamelles de Tirésias to Alcina, Cheryomushki to Le Roi Carotte, experience the dread and disorientation of a seemingly meaningless and absurd world, where the value of human existence is questioned.
Following their successful residencies with Scottish Opera and Welsh National Opera in Cardiff, the National Opera Studio’s Young Artists make their much anticipated return to London’s Hoxton Hall showcasing their recent opera scenes production.
This semi-staged performance will feature piano accompaniment from our four highly-skilled repetiteurs.
